A low cost, home automation illumination device that will turn almost any light bulb into a smart light bulb.

Lux About

The Lux SmartSocket was born from our UB Software Engineering course.

This semester-long project aimed to create a low-cost, smart light socket that would replace an expensive, smart light bulb. As a user, you could use almost any cheap light bulb with our product.

Installation is as easy as plug-and-play.

To get your SmartSocket up and running, plug in your hub device and allow it to connect to your local network. After the hub has established a connection, wait a minute or two for automated installation. Then, you may safely connect your Lux SmartSocket device to a lamp. You may now control your SmartSocket devices with the friendly online interface on when you connect to the Raspberry Pi's IP address.
